The most important issue is that the rEFIt binary packages availablefrom its main Web page arebuilt as mixed-mode ("fat") 32-/64-bit binaries. These work fine on Macs, but not on UEFI-based PCs. If you use such a computer, you must thereforetrack down a purely 64-bit binary and replace the original package'srefit.efi file with the 64-bit file. Alternatively, you can use mythin utility to splitthe "fat" binaries into separate 32- and 64-bit varieties and use thelatter. Ubuntu's refitpackage includes a suitable 64-bit binary, as/usr/lib/refit/x64/refit.efi. I also provide a version that's beenpatched with a few extensions (version 0.14-rws), although rEFInd takesthese improvements much further. Nonetheless, if you want to try rEFIt on aUEFI-based PC, the following packages may be of interest:
The problem I had was that the new iso file had a larger file then 4gb. (Doesn't support FAT32)To fix this I downloaded an older version of windows 10 that doesn't have an install file greater then 4gb. -us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewadvancedYou do need to register for windows insider to gain acces to the download file.

Update (2016-07-20): I have updated this post with further improvementsrelating to downloading of Boot Camp drivers and ensuring that a Hybrid MBR isnot used (which would cause issues when installing Windows).
As has already been pointed out, Intel Macs have EFI. However, booting from a CD with rEFIT installed (download the "6.5M ISO disk image", burn to disk using Disk Utility, then reboot holding down the 'C' key), you can select an option to Start EFI shell (its the leftmost icon on the bottom row on my Mac) which may be what you want?
You don't need a bootable installer to upgrade macOS or reinstall macOS, but it can be useful if you want to install macOS on multiple computers without downloading the installer each time, or you're unable to install a compatible macOS from the Finder or macOS Recovery.
rEFInd cannot easily be downloaded when in recovery mode, as there is limited space and tools/libraries available (e.g. curl does not support https). As a result, we will download rEFInd inside of a normal macOS/OS X session and afterwards reboot to recovery mode to install.

1. First thing you will want to do is to download and install the rEFIt utility on your Macbook Air in OS X Snow Leopard. Download the DMG and open it and then run the rEFIt.mpkg to install it.
1. Next, we will boot back into OS X Snow Leopard and run the Boot Camp Assistant. We will be doing two things here, partitioning our harddrive and also downloading the dmg file of our Boot Camp Windows files. Notice how Boot Camp warns that you need an external cd/dvd drive; not us!
Next, it will ask us if we want to download the Windows support software, be sure to check it since we will need these files later for getting our mac hardware working in Windows 7 and click Continue and it will download the files.
Once the files are downloaded, we will be at the partitioning screen. I personally only used 30GB for my Windows 7 installation since I will only be using it for VPN and some remote apps that have Windows only clients. Again, remember we limited and need about 10GB for Windows 7 itself. Once your ready, click on the Partition button.
2. Open the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool app. It will guide you through creating the Bootable Windows 7 USB Drive. You will need an ISO of Windows 7. You can either make one from your physical disc or find a download of it online (I used MagicDisc to make an ISO of my Win7 Install DVD). Once you have the ISO, click on Browse and select it and click Next.
For Mac users, you are only allowed to download and install applications that are coming from the Mac App Store and its authorized or recognized developers and nothing else. Of course, you are still capable of downloading programs from different websites but in case the product is not identified by Apple, you will still not be able to install it on your Mac PC. 2ff7e9595c
